Morris Prokop at the Whitehorse Star wrote a wonderful article about Janna Lee’s race and our family travels to the Yukon this winter.

Excellent trail conditions, fantastic scenery, and great weather completed the Yukon’s lure, and at 12:46 pm, 25 hours after leaving Whitehorse, Janna Lee pulled into the Braeburn Check Point to a hero’s welcome.

We recently released this bear back into the wild through coordinated efforts with a team of the National Capital Commission Conservation Officers. Unseasonably warm temperatures will benefit the bears’ survivability.
